Jaxelle needs your help now

Your donation can help her fight leukemia

Jaxelle, 4 years old, has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Her treatment requires immediate chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant. Her single mother works two jobs but cannot come close to affording the life-saving treatment her daughter desperately needs.

Jaxelle's Story

Jaxelle has always been a bright, creative child who loves art and dreams of becoming a teacher someday. Her mother noticed something was wrong when Jaxelle became increasingly tired, developed unexplained bruises, and complained of pain in her bones. After multiple doctor visits and tests, the devastating diagnosis came: Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), an aggressive form of blood cancer.

"When the doctor told me it was leukemia, my world collapsed," says Maria, Jaxelle's mother. "I promised my daughter we would fight this together, but the truth is, I don't know how I can afford her treatment. I'm terrified of losing her."

The Urgent Need

Jaxelle's treatment plan includes:

  • Immediate intensive chemotherapy for 4-6 months
  • Hospitalization during treatment periods
  • A bone marrow transplant if remission is achieved
  • Follow-up care and medications for at least two years

The total cost of this life-saving treatment is $53,000 – an impossible sum for Jaxelle's mother, who is already working two jobs to keep a roof over their heads.

About Jaxelle's Family

Jaxelle lives with her mother, Maria, who has been raising her alone since Jaxelle was two years old. Maria works as a cashier during the day and cleans offices at night to make ends meet. They live in a small apartment, and until now, Maria has always managed to provide for her daughter's needs. But the cost of cancer treatment is far beyond what she can afford, even with her health insurance covering a portion.

"Jaxelle is all I have in this world," Maria says. "She's so brave – she tells me not to worry, that she'll be okay. But I see the fear in her eyes when the doctors come. No child should have to be this brave."
